Sports Xtra; the leading UK franchise supplying sports activities to children, have today announced an agreement with the National Skills Academy to create a further 300 jobs through the Future Jobs Fund scheme. Having successfully placed an initial allocation of jobs in 2010, preparations to recruit such a large number of candidates across the UK in the New Year are already well underway.

Sports Xtra deliver children’s physical activities in primary schools across the UK and demand is already at an unprecedented level. With the Olympics coming to London in 2012 and the need to increase activity levels to combat the alarming rise in obesity, the 300 jobs could not have arrived at a better time!

Managing Director Gareth Lippiatt was delighted that Sports Xtra had been given the opportunity to build on the successful placement of candidates across the franchise network and is looking forward to allocating further subsidised coaches to the franchisees. “This has to be a unique opportunity…with around 17,000 primary schools in the UK, there is a huge market to target and now with the catalyst of the Olympics and our successful business model, I can’t believe how well things are coming together! We already had an exciting franchise package but to be able to offer franchisees FREE staff for six months, it almost seems too good to be true.”

In December Sports Xtra are due to launch a further 6 franchises to add to the existing network across the UK.
